Ms Pac Man (1982)

Beginning life as an unofficial modification kit for the original game, developer General Computer Corp struck a deal with Pac-man’s creators Namco to release the mod as an official sequel, and thus Ms Pac-man was born! The original was perhaps the first arcade release to appeal heavily to the female gamer with its intuitive and non-violent gameplay, so casting a female protagonist was intended to tap further into this new market. Unsurprisingly the sequel differs little from the original, but with a ramped up difficulty level it offers some extra replay value.
