FAQsHave a question?
Everyone needs a little help now and then!
How do I play the games?
All our arcade machines run on US Quarters, which can be purchased at a cost of £2 for 4 or £7 for 15. A game credit usually costs 1 quarter, except light gun games, drivers or pinball machines, which are set to 2 quarters per game credit!
You don’t need to reserve or book a specific arcade machine- they are run like old school arcades- if someones playing one already you want to play on, queue up behind- it wont be long!
Our console games are free to play if they are not already booked, but book ahead (with a fee) for exclusive use. These booths are great for parties and small events.
Can I bring my own quarters?
Yes you can!
Do I have to book a table? How do I book?
We encourage bookings during our peak times (Thurs – Sat) to avoid disappointment, but walk-ins are fine. We also encourage bookings for larger groups and for our console booths.
Booking a table is simple, just go here. You can directly book a table via the form, or send an enquiry to our bookings team. Private hire details are also listed, but if you are not sure what you need or have any bookings related questions just drop us an email at bookings@fourquartersbar.co.uk
What about parties? Work bookings? Do you hire out bigger areas?
We regularly host parties – from birthday parties to full on work outings!
We can tailor to your needs but to see our set packages, go to “Book Now” and “Private Hire” here.
If you are not sure what you need or have any bookings-related questions, drop us an email at bookings@fourquartersbar.co.uk
What games do you have?
You can see a current list of arcade games that we have at each site on the ‘Our Games’ page. We usually have the most sought-after games for each of our consoles.
How do I get a console booth?
These are available at our Hackney Wick, Elephant Park, Bristol and Newcastle bars! You can pre-book these booths to secure your spot. They cost £9ph during peak hours, and £6ph at all other times.
You cannot auto-book the booths so please request one while making your booking. Please note that there is usually a 5-person minimum for booths at the weekend, and 4-person during the week.
Can I book an outside table?
Our Hackney Wick venue has plentiful outside seating during the summer, with a smaller area in the winter (including a covered and heated area). Elephant also has outdoors space with outdoor console booths. Please use the specific ‘Outside Table’ option on the bookings form or drop us a line.
Is there an age limit? Do you allow children?
All our venues allow under-18s before 19:00 only if accompanied at all times by a responsible adult. All of our venues are over-18s only after 19:00.
If you are planning a children’s party please contact us before booking. We are primarily an adult venue and have time and age restrictions on these, and can discuss with you to make sure its a fit.
Groups of 5+ children must pre-book and contact us or risk refusal.
Small children will not be allowed on machines without an adult supervising, some of our machines are over 40 years old and are not toddler proof!
We operate a strict challenge 25 policy, so please bring valid photo I.D. We reserve the right to refuse admission at all times.
Do you host children's parties?
YEP BUT PLEASE USE THE BOOKING FORM TO CONTACT US ABOUT CHILDRENS’ PARTY OPTIONS AND AVAILABILITY.
Groups of 5+ children must pre-book and contact us or risk refusal.
FOUR QUARTERS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES FOR KIDS TURNING 7 OR YOUNGER.
IT JUST WON’T BE A GREAT PARTY FOR CHILDREN THAT YOUNG-THEY’LL STRUGGLE WITH THE SIZE OF THE MACHINES AND THE MACHINES WILL STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE SO WE DON’T OFFER PARTIES FOR THAT AGE.
What are your opening hours, where can I find you etc?
You can go to our individual location pages and find all this info here.
Are you dog friendly?
We are dog friendly and our venues have drinking bowls for dogs. We do expect dog owners to use their own discretion i.e. keep dogs on a leash and only bring well-behaved dogs with you.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Elephant and Hackney Wick are step-free with accessible toilets. Peckham ground floor is accessible with an accessible toilet. Peckham upstairs (console room) and downstairs (cellar bar) are via stairs only. Bristol and Newcastle are not fully accessible at this time – please contact us for more details.
