LETHAL ENFORCERS (1992)

Developer: Konami - World Record Hi-Score: 2,074

First released to the arcades in 1992, Lethal Enforcers was a title that was made entirely from digitized photographs. This method of digitization was then deemed to be ‘photo realistic’ and was very exciting to arcade goers at the time. It was also seen in the likes of Mortal Kombat and Pit Fighter. A move away from cartoon like pixel drawings, to ‘realistic’ graphics. Due to these graphics, it was a game that was included in the 1993 U.S.A. supreme court hearing on violent video games as some people began to question the effect of these games on players and society at large. Playing the game today will make you cringe and laugh, but the game itself is a fun title to play.
